Things to do in Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is an island southeast of Bali, Indonesia. A relatively untouched paradise, offering many activities, experiences, and sights for all kinds of travellers. Nusa Penida is bigger than Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. It is part of the Klungkung regency, which includes the three islands.

Beaches and viewpoints

The most popular things to do are visiting the beaches and viewpoints that Nusa Penida has to offer. The most famous viewpoint, Kelingking viewpoint, offers a unique view over the coastline. You can climb down all the way to the beach, but be aware, that it is a pretty steep and heavy climb. Other iconic viewpoints are on Broken Beach and next to Angel's Billabong. These are all situated close to each other on the west side of the island. Popular beaches are Crystal Bay, Atuh Beach and Diamond Beach.

Diving and Snorkeling

Nusa Penida is world famous for its diving. The most popular dive site is Manta Point. As the name suggests, this is where you can almost always see Manta Rays. Other good dive spots are Crystal Bay and Gamat Bay. These are also suitable for snorkeling trips. Many agencies offer day trips from Bali or Nusa Lembongan. Other activities

If you don't like beaches, snorkeling or diving, Nusa Penida still has a lot to offer. You can visit the Goa Giri Putri Cave, Tembeling Natural Pool or the Peguyangan Waterfall. Exploring Nusa Penida by scooter or car is an adventure in itself. Be prepared for bad roads and steep hills. The island is still relatively undeveloped, but that is also part of its charm.
